PASSIVE VOICE

Ini sebenarnya tugas kuliah (lagi) yang gagal dipresentasikan karena you know lah....things suddenly messed up, dosennya BT, and so on. tapi beliau appreciate bgt liat paper buatan kelompok saya and she'd keep it as special document. daripada sayang ilmunya saya simpan sendiri, lebih baik saya bagi2 di blog ini. tapi sengaja saya ikin singkat, soalnya klo dijabarin terlalu banyak,riweuh. Hehehe...selamat membaca!
There are two kind of sentences in English:

1. Active Sentence
In Bahasa Indonesia this sentence begin with me- or be-.

2. Passive Sentence
In Bahasa Indonesia this sentence begin with di- or ter-.
THE TRANSFORMATION FORM OF ACTIVE SENTENCE BECOME PASSIVE SENTENCE

- ACTIVE SENTENCE

S + V1 + e/es
S + tobe1 + V ing
S + has/have + V3
S + has/have + been + V ing
S + V2
S + tobe2 + V ing
S + had + V3
S + had + been + V ing
S + will + V1
S + will + be + V ing
S + will + have + V3
S + will + have + been + V ing

- PASSIVE SENTENCE

S + tobe1 + V3
S + tobe1 + being +V3
S + has/have + been + V3
S + has/had + been being + V3
S + tobe2 + V3
S + tobe2 + being +V3
S + had + been + V3
S + had + been being + V3
S + will + be + V3
S + will + be + being + V3
S + will + have + been + V3
S + will + have + been being +V3

THE GENERAL PATTERN OF PASSIVE VOICE : to be + V3

These are the examples of passive sentence:

A. Tenses

- Simple present
They write down the rules on a piece of paper - The rules are written down on a piece of paper by them

- Present Continuous
The prosecutor is questioning the man -The man is being questioned by the prosecutor

- Present perfect
They have broken the law - The law has been broken by them

- Present perfect continous
The police has been watching Aisyah closely - Aisyah has been being watched closely by the police

- Simple past
The father made the rules of conduct - The rules of conduct were made by the father

- Past continuous
The thief was stealing a car - A car was being stolen by the thief

- Past perfect
He had reported the accident to the police - The accident had been reported to the police by him

- Simple future
He will hire a good lawyer - A good lawyer will be hired by him

- Future continuous
Made will be kidnapping Eva and Luvina - Eva and Luvina will be being kidnapped by Made

- Future perfect
The police will have caught Maryam - Maryam will have been caught by the police

B. Modals

- Will
The judge will read the vonis - The vonis will be read by the judge
- Can
The judge can read the vonis - The vonis can be read by the judge
- Should
The judge should read the vonis - The vonis should be read by the judge
- Ought to
The judge ought to read the vonis - The vonis ought to be read by the judge
- Must
The judge must read the vonis - The vonis must be read by the judge
- Has to
The judge has to read the vonis - The vonis has to be read by the judge
- May
The judge may read the vonis - The vonis may be read by the judge
- Might
The judge might read the vonis - The vonis might be read by the judge

THE GENERAL PATTERN OF PASSIVE VOICE (MODAL): Modal + V1 - Modal + be + V3
C. The past-passive form: Modal + have been + past participle
- Someone should have sent the letter
The letter should have been sent last week by them
- Someone must have built this house
This house must have been built

- Someone ought to have invited Jack to the party
Jack ought to have been invited to the party
- Someone might have left the handphone
The handphone might have been left
